Dr. Naresh Rao, Director of Wellness Services, is a founding partner of the Lifewellness Institute. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine. Dr. Rao completed the first-ever Wellness Medicine Fellowship, which entailed traveling the world to study under leaders in various health disciplines including cardiovascular disease prevention, addiction medicine, spiritual healing, and skin wellness. He is an instructor at the University of California San Diego, San Diego State University and Western University of Health Sciences.  He has been a contributing author for several medical books and articles for scientific journals. Dr. Rao lectures frequently to businesses on a variety of wellness topics.  Additionally, he volunteers his time to several non-profit organizations in San Diego County.  Along with partner Lee Rice, Dr. Rao has launched one of the most innovative healthcare institutions in America today.
